Our Story

Australian owned & operated.

An idea born in Sydney, SafeMate was thought of after our engineer was caught in a freak wave while surfing.

It was when he woke up on the beach surrounded by strangers who did not know his name or circumstances that he thought of SafeMate - a sensible and secure device that speaks for you in a medical emergency.

Whether conscious or not, SafeMate relays information to paramedics instantly saving everyone time and stress.

The most secure and optimal device for this transformation needed to be a QR code, easily accessibly with scanning from smart technology. SafeMate ensures you have around-the-clock security by allowing paramedics easy and immediate access to your medical history.

What We Do

Peace of Mind.

Medical emergencies are stressful for everyone involved, including onlookers and your family.

We are passionate about facilitating improved emergent health practices though accuracy of information to reduce risks associated with hospitalisation or incorrect treatment.

SafeMate provides a product and a service that delivers your up-to-date medical information to paramedics as effectively as possible in a medical emergency.

“Gave me comfort as I didn’t have to say anything when it happened as the paramedic was able to find out what they wanted easily from my wristband.”

Diane, New Farms QLD

Working with QAS since 2017

QAS paramedics love SafeMate because it makes their job so much easier. Many patients don’t remember all their medications. Some patients might be unconscious or unable to speak. With SafeMate, paramedics don’t have to hunt around to find names, next of kin details, allergy information, tend of life instructions, or pet care details.

To get the details the patient wants to share, paramedics just have to scan a SafeMate device and in a few seconds it’s all on their screen.
